What they are
Ghost
Ghost is an independent publishing platform that combines a CMS, email newsletter tool, and membership system in one place. It is used by independent writers, journalists, and media companies who want to own their audience without relying on third-party platforms. The open-source core can be self-hosted for free, while Ghost Pro handles hosting at a monthly fee. The tradeoff is that it is more opinionated than WordPress and has a steeper learning curve for non-technical users.
Playground AI
Playground AI is a web-based image generation and graphic design platform that combines text-to-image generation with a canvas-style editor, templates, background removal, and upscaling. It runs multiple AI models including GPT Image 2, Nano Banana Pro, and Seedream, making it useful for social media graphics, merch designs, logos, and product mockups. Creators in the print-on-demand and crafting space are among its most active users. Unlike pure generators, it leans toward practical design output over artistic experimentation.
